Disappearance & Death

She was last seen in the early morning hours of January 24, 2018, and was reported as a runaway on January 25, 2018. [1]

Her body was found in the 800 block of North Prairie Avenue Sunday, January 28, 2018.

Two people were on a walk when they found the body and contacted the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety.

Mujey was found wearing a black Columbia jacket, a white and pink t-shirt with a print of Cinderella's face on the front, blue jeans and pink Nike tennis shoes.

Her right shoe was missing.

Police have stated her death is being considered a homicide. [1]

The cause of her death was Asphyxiation due to Strangulation.

Dumbuya was set to testify against Quinn James for raping her, and he is a suspect in the investigation into her homicide.

A GoFundMe and Facebook page were set up to memorialize her. Her GoFundMe raised over $14,000 from hundreds of backers.
