Muhammad Khalid was a Somali-American who lived in Amarillo, Texas.

Walmart Hostage Situation

On June 14th, 2016 initial reports say that an unidentified armed gunman has taken at least one person hostage.

The hostage is reportedly an employee working at Walmart in Amarillo, Texas. The suspect's car was registered to a Muhammad Khalid. The suspect was shot on site. He was reported to be shouting in Arabic and left a suicide note. He was wearing a Walmart shirt and khaki pants during the incident (the Walmart employee uniform).

Police scanner said registration for the shooter's car - a Toyota Avalon - came back with name the Muhammad Khalid.

He went by the name Mohammad Moghaddam.

He was shot dead at the scene on June 14.

No other people died in the incident.
