Omar Davis whose stage name is known as Moore Kismet is a Disc jockey, music producer and an Actor. He started music production 7 years ago, and he has garnered support from some big names in the EDM music industry and community such as Nghtmre, Audien, Elohim, San Holo, VIRTU, Herobust.^[1]

Career

Moore Kismet was into music since age seven, but officially started his started his career 5 years ago (age 10) posting remixes and various originals that are no longer on his page, and over the years, he got better.

Eventually, this allowed him to become more comfortable with releasing music, which is how more people found out about him.^[5]

I can’t really describe my signature sound as anything but myself.
It’s how I process sounds, it’s how I mix, how I compose arrangements.
It’s a large factor of it all.

His quick-witted mentality mixed with a wicked knack for sound design granted him the opportunity to perform on the Loud and Proud tour featuring well-known entertainers, such as KANDY, Bright Lights and Taryn Manning.

In 2019, he released an EP called ”Character” through ”Never Say Die” label.

From which he got incredible feedback and support, despite it not having done so well on most NSDs.

It’s been supported by some of his favorite DJs and producers, and it’s done relatively well on Soundcloud, Spotify, and YouTube.

“Character” in itself is a story that I wanted to tell through music, but never had the courage or tools to do until now.
It was a body of work that I wanted to personify my personality traits, and how I live and identify.
Creating it was so easy as these emotions have been flowing through my mind for so long, it was impossible to not think about expressing them by way of music.
I’m especially grateful to NSD for being so willing to help me see my vision for the release of “Character” out fully.^[3]

On the 3rd of May 2019, he released his single titled "Mutant" through the Never Say Die Record Label.

He teamed up with SHARPS.

The duo's first Collaboration comes in the form of an ominous dubstep tune. With distant vocals echoing in and out during the intro, listeners will begin to hear something sinister brewing.

He is also an actor and Assistant director, known for Orphaned (2018) and Da Bottomz (2020)

Personal

Moore's birth name is Omar Davis, he was born into a family of music, his father Taurica Davis, is from the musical group Vivid Im Pressions (also referred to as VIP).

Based on his stage name, Moore Kismet, his mother is often referred to as Momma Kismet.

At just 14 years old, he was a finalist in the 2019 Goldie Awards for the category Beat Battle Contestants.

Having a mother who is a semi-professional singer has its perks, as the 15-year-old electronic prodigy, dropped an impressive trap single titled "Flair" with the help of their mother, Momma Kismet.

Kismet describes his nature as Pansexuality.^[4]
