Moonlighting is a platform that allows users to showcase their professional skills to prospective employers. [1]

Overview

The platform enables professional freelancers and businesses to contact one another in a competitive environment with no bidding or commission fees. The app displays local freelancers on an interactive hiring map, but also allows businesses to post what they need done so that interested freelancers can contact them. Applicants are socially verified and are given ratings and reviews so you know who you're working with. Moonlighting offers a $9.99 Moonlighting Pro service that allows access to a network of 625,000+, priority alerts for new jobs, unlimited proposals and invoices, and the ability to send and receive payments with no fees. [2]

Moonlighting even has a platform for crowdfunding called "Moon$hot Stories" where entrepreneurs can set fundraising goals without deadlines and penalties if the goal isn't met. [3]

EOS

On April 11, 2019 Moonlighting announced a strategic partnership with the FinLab EOS VC Fund. Investing to the tune of $5 million, the FinLab EOS VC Fund will enable Moonlighting to incorporate EOSIO into Moonlighting’s Blockchain Profile Management System. To create a more trusted on-demand hiring service, Moonlighting will be transporting all 700,000+ profiles to the EOS blockchain including all of their important hiring data. It's important to note that Moonlighting isn't copying all of its data to the blockchain in plain text, but rather they're securing the data using hashes that still rely on Moonlighting’s centralized database to decrypt. The company plans to use the funding to further validate the data on user profiles. [4] [5] [6]
