MoneyMarr (born August 31, 2002) is a hip hop artist from Washington, D.C. ^{[1] [2]}

MoneyMarr used to go by the nickname Lil Money, but somewhere along the way the "Lil" was dropped and "Marr" was tacked on.

In an interview with No Jumper, MoneyMarr recounts getting into fights a lot growing up. He has 1019 tattooed on his forearm because 10/19/2015 was the day that his close friend Sway died. ^[3]

He used to mess around and freestyle, but only began taking music seriously when his brother Wayne urged him to start honing his talent. MoneyMarr shared that it's imperative for a studio to have a good vibe if he's gonna produce his best music. There has to be lighting, weed, good people and good tunes.^[3][4]

The first song he ever recorded was a remix of Lil Yachty's "Minnesota." At only 16 years old he had a breakout hit with "Whip Out The Stick," racking up millions of streams. Since then he's been cosigned by people like Pusha T, ASAP Mob, Virgil Abloh, Saquon Barkley, ADAM22, Kevin Gates, and many more. ^[4][6]

He's played at many sold out shows including SOBs in New York and was listed as Hypemagazine's Must Watch Artist of 2019. Since 2018, MoneyMarr has had the opportunity to collaborate with artists like Lil Dude, Goonew, A$AP Ant, A$AP Twelvyy, Baby 9eno, Yung Manny and more. ^{[5] [4]}
