Molly Wray had been a Math Teacher at Lafayette High School within the Lafayette County School District since 2014. She teaches Geometry and Algebra. She resigned from the position on June 15, 2018 after being investigated for having improper conduct with a student. Molly Wray also runs a health and wellness business.

On Monday, July 11, 2018, Molly Wray was arrested and formally charged with the enticement of a child to meet for sexual purposes.
Molly Wray had appeared in court with her attorney Tony Farese in the main courtroom of the Lafayette County Courthouse prior to the 2 p.m. scheduled time for a probable cause hearing. However, she waived her right to the hearing and exited the room not long before proceedings started. [1]
An arrest warrant for Wray was issued, and she was formally charged with one count of enticement of a child with intent to meet for sexual purposes. Circuit Court Judge John A. Gregory issued a bond of $10,000. Wray posted bond not long after she was arrested. [1]
Wray has been under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department and Mississippi Bureau of Investigation since June 4, 2018.
The investigation began when the sheriff’s department received a complaint from Lafayette County School District Superintendent Adam Pugh regarding reports of improper conduct between a teacher and a student, according to a statement released by the department.
On June 11, an affidavit was filed against Wray.
Wray’s case will be presented to the Lafayette County Grand Jury in August.
If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in prison.
