Molly Smith is an American journalist based in New York City. She reports on corporate debt for Bloomberg as a Corporate Finance Reporter.[2]


Early Life and Education

Smith is originally from Montville, New Jersey and graduated from Montville Township High School. She attended Syracuse University where she earned her degrees in Broadcast and Digital Journalism from the S. I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and in Finance from the Martin J. Whitman School of Management in 2016. She was a Magna Cum Laude graduate.[2]


Career

During college, Smith worked at CitrusTV, interned for the investigative unit team at ABC7, was a local politics reporter for TheNewHouse.com, and was a teaching assistant at the Martin J. Whitman School of Management. In 2015, she was a US Equities Intern for Bloomberg First Word and after graduating college in 2016 Smith again interned at Bloomberg reporting on Municipal Bonds. Smith has covered a number of roles including FX/Rates, early morning briefings for Bloomberg Daybreak, and consumer reports. Currently, Smith is a Corporate Finance Reporter for Bloomberg where she covers corporate debt.[1] [2]
