Early Life and Education
A native of Kentfield, California, Hunter graduated from the Marin Academy in 2005 and went on to attend Williams College, from which she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations in 2009. Hunter also played varsity women's volleyball and wrote for campus newspaper The Williams Record. [1] [8]
Career
After she graduated from Williams, Hunter spent a year learning Arabic and working with Iraqi refugees in Amman, Jordan while also working as a freelance journalist. Hunter joined the Staff of ABC News in 2010 and spent four years in New York, where she worked her way up from desk assistant to assignment editor to foreign desk Editor. Hunter worked as a reporter and producer in Jerusalem from 2015 to 2017, and up tp 2019 has been based in London. [1] [8]
In February 2019, Hunter became a Correspondent for NBC News.[1]
Honors
Hunter and her ABC News team won an Emmy Award in 2017 for their reporting on Syrian refugees. [7] [11]
