Miriam A. Hyman born January 9, 1978 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and raised in Philadelphia, Hyman is a classically trained actor, graduating from the Yale School of Drama and is a recipient of the prestigious Princess Grace Award and Leonore Annenberg Fellowship for Performing Arts.^[1]

Miriam A. Hyman started her professional career off-Broadway with Richard III opposite Ron Cephas Jones at The Public Theater in New York. She went on to perform in Tempest (La MaMa) playing opposite of the late Reg E. Cathey. Next, she entertained audiences as the lead actor, D'Artagnan, in her performance of The Three Musketeers at the Classical Theater of Harlem which garnered her a nomination for an Aucelco award: Best Actress.

Hyman has seamlessly explored her many gifts as an accomplished lyricist as “Robyn Hood” — seasoned actor, Ghostwriter and voice over talent. A graduate from the Yale School of Drama, Hyman was a recurring guest star, taking on the role of Dr. Emile Cooper.^[7]

Miriam voices Bismuth in Unleash the Light and the episodes "Everything's Fine", "I Am My Monster", and "The Future" in Steven Universe Future, replacing the character's usual voice actress, Uzo Aduba.^[13]

She was born in Lancaster and raised in Philadelphia, Hyman got bit by the acting bug pretty early in her life.

While she was in high school, Hyman saw a film that ultimately sparked her interest in acting.^[3]

With the release of her latest EP, “Alter EGO,” under her company Truth Teller Productions, a role in “The Chi,” and the upcoming radio broadcast of “Richard II,” Hyman continues to successfully forge her own path.

Hyman got her Master's degree from Yale School of Drama with another familiar face, Academy Award Winner Lupita Nyong’o. The two have remained friends and Hyman has written rap lyrics for Nyong’o.^[2]
