Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones was a boxing exhibition that occurred in November 2020. The match was covered by Forbes.[9] The match lasted for the full eight rounds and it was ruled a draw. Although it was an exhibition, it was heavily gambled on with Tyson closing as a slight favorite.[17]

The anticipating fact between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. ended in an unofficial draw after the legendary boxers went the full eight rounds at Staples Center. Tyson was the runaway winner on the Twitter scorecards of boxing experts, but judges Chad Dawson, Christy. Martin and Vinny Pazienza must have watched a different fight. The two competed in an eight round exhibition match on November 28, 2020 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.

The event billed as "Frontline Battle" featured several fights on the undercard Fights on the undercard included Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan and Vidal Riley vs. Rashad Coulter.

Nate Robinson vs. Jake Paul was slated directly before the main event. Jack beat McKernan by decision. Paul ko'd Robinson in the second round.[18]

The eight-round fight was broadcast on pay-per-view and Triller an upstart TikTok-like music video app which confirmed the event in a release.Tyson last competed in a boxing ring in 2005 when he lost to Kevin McBride.The original match was set to take place on September 12th but was postponed. The initial report from The Ring stated that Tyson's team felt they would be able to maximize revenue by postponing the fight to Thanksgiving weekend. However an ESPN report claimed the issue was one of more time needed to secure international television deals and hammer out final pay-per-view details. According to ESPN, the contracts for the fight were not officially changed.

Triller made mention of the main event between Tyson and Jones will headline a three-hour telecast including under card bouts and musical performances to be announced in coming weeks.

The app aired a 10-part documentary series tracking the fighters during the run-up to the match Executive director Andy Foster told Yahoo! Sports the fighters would not be wearing headgear and would be using the larger-than-normal 12 oz gloves. Tyson became the youngest boxer to win a heavyweight title back in 1986, becoming the division’s undisputed champion until he was dramatically unseated in a shock upset defeat to James ‘Buster’Douglas in 1990. he Brooklyn native retired in 2005 with a career record of 50-6 with 44 knockouts.

The 51-year-old Jones, a native of Pensacola, Florida, represented the United States at the 1988 Summer Olympics, where he won a silver medal after a highly disputed loss that prompted a complete overhaul of the scoring system for Olympic boxing. As a professional he was captured world championships at middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, earning widespread recognition as the finest pound-for-pound fighter of his generation.[3] The California State Athletic Commission sanctioned the bout, though executive director Andy Foster has stated, "We can't mislead the public as to this is some kind of real fight," and made it clear that the fighters are expected to avoid "using their best efforts to hurt each other.[16]"
