Mike Iscovitz earned the American Meteorological Society Seal of Approval in 2001, and was the 69th person in the United States to be recognized as an AMS. certified broadcast meteorologist.
Career
Mike Iscovitz started his career in Meteorology as a weather intern at WSVN-TV in Miami and then as a student meteorologist at Florida State University.
In May 1999, Mike went to work as the weekend weather anchor at KLFY-TV in Lafayette, Louisiana, from 1999 through September 2000.

2. Dynamo-Tigres 'Hot Chocolate' forecast:
The Houston Dynamo will host Club Tigres UANL from Mexico in a CONCACAF Champions League match on Tuesday.
With BBVA Compass Stadium an open-air venue and temperatures projected to drop into the lower 40s, the Dynamo is offering some cold weather relief for fans of both teams.
The stadium will have eight heating stations, four concession stands that will have hot coffee available and 15 concession stands will offer hot chocolate.[3]
3. Light sleet and flurries reported in Willis, Columbus and Cypress:
Light sleet and snow flurries have been reported in many areas north and west of Houston, including Willis, Columbus, Cypress and Tomball on Tuesday morning.
Currently, temperatures are too warm for it to cause any icy roadways.
Gusty, dry air is moving through the area and no accumulations are expected today.
Tuesday night, a Freeze Watch is in effect for Houston, Pasadena, Pearland and Sugar Land until 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.

The disorganized disturbance east of Cancun now has a 40% chance of developing into a depression or tropical storm later this week.
As of now, none of our computer models is showing a strong system from timing, but it could still bring some late-week rain to the Texas coastline.
The rain were seeing in the Houston-area today is unrelated to this system.
