Michael Anthony Griffin II, also known by his moniker, Mike G, is an American Hip hop Recording Artist known for being one of the original members of Odd Future. ^{[undefined] [undefined] [undefined]}

Griffin was born in the town of Oceanside to military parents. ^[666666] Both of his parents were in the US Marines and would often travel around the world. During his upbringing he lived in Japan. He lived in the city of Okinawa for many years and he completed his first two years of high school there Kubasaki High School. ^[666666]

When he and his family returned to live in California, he experienced a bit of culture shock. He graduate from Crenshaw High School. ^[666666]

Since an early age, the inspiration for being involved in music was in the exploration of producing music.

Mike G would later begin writing while in high school.

During high school, Mike G met Left Brain who was already one of the members of Odd Future. Mike G would later become one of the original members of Odd Future, and fourth to join the group. ^[666666] Mike G would become a part of the family and would go on to collaborate with the group for the next few years. ^[undefined]

Mike G is a member of the Chopstar collective of DJs dedicated to showing appreciation for DJ Screw by cultivating hip hop and rap songs into the style of Chopped and screwed. Mike G has released a number of mixtapes. ^[undefined]

In 2008, he started his collaboration with members of Odd Future, and would go on to release his first mixtape called Ali. Mike G has released most of his songs and music on his SoundCloud page. ^[1]
