Michelle Krupa

Michelle Krupa is an American journalist based in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a news editor at CNN Digital, where she manages story production from idea to publication on platforms including CNN.com, mobile apps and social media channels. [1]

Education

Krupa graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's degree in American studies and Spanish. She went on to attend University of Maryland College Park, receiving a Master's degree in public affairs reporting.

Career

Michelle Krupa started at CNN in 2012, writing TV scripts for anchors including Brooke Baldwin, Carol Costello, and John Berman, choosing video clips and writing headlines about the day's biggest news, sometimes as it developed on live air. As the 2016 election dominated the news cycle, she followed her desire to tell stories in new ways at CNN Digital. [1]

Prior to CNN, Krupa worked in the newsrooms of The Observer at the University of Notre Dame, The The Beacon News, the University of Maryland's Capital News Service, and she spent a decade with The Times-Picayune, where the staff's work covering Hurricane Katrina won two Pulitzer Prizes. [1]
