Michael Williams Jr. (born May 20, 1999 Fort Riley, Kansas) is a professional boxer. He boxes in the welterweight and junior welterweight divisions.[30]

He graduated from Seventy-First High School in 2017. Williams Jr. had LASIK to correct his vision in 2018. His career has been heavily guided and influenced by his father, Michael Williams Sr. Williams Jr. has also spent a substantial amount of time in Newark, New Jersey.

He finished his amateur career with a 35-13 record, winning the USA Boxing Regional Championship and the Sugar Bert Championship twice. He is the subject of the 2018 documentary Chasing Greatness. The Michael Williams Jr. Story.

He was ranked eighteenth in the national amateur rankings.

Many of his amateur boxing matches were sanctioned by USA Boxing. He has gained the nicknames of "Boy Wonder" and more recently "150%".

As of June 2022 has a professional boxing record of 20 wins and 1 loss, with thirteen stoppage victories.

In his professional boxing debut in February 23, 2018 he ko'd Raquan Best in Charlotte, North Carolina.[29]

Williams Jr. boxes in the orthodox stance. Roy Jones Jr. has been involved with career of Williams. Williams ko'd Justin Ramer at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Florida on June 2, 2018. On August 18, 2018 he ko'd John Willoughby at Sports USA on Fort Bragg.

Boxed Four Times In 2019

He boxed four times in 2019 and won every match.

He defeated Keasen Freeman, Ronnie Jordan, Elliot Brown, and Lashawn Alcocks.

He was named North Carolina 2019 Fighter of the Year by Cboxinginfo.com.

Won WBF Gold Title

On February 8, 2019 he survived two knockdowns by LaShawn Alcocks to come back and win a decision at the Dorton Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina. Williams Jr. showed the poise of an old, crafty veteran to survive the flash knockdowns and the onslaught from Alcocks to win the WBF Gold welterweight title and retain the WBF Silver title. Williams Jr. won by unanimous decision with scores of 77-74, 76-74, 77-74.

He was scheduled to compete on March 21, 2020 against Thomas Miller at the John D. Fuller Recreation Center in Fayetville, North Carolina.

Miller has a professional boxing record of 6 wins and 3 losses.

The match was canceled.

Williams Jr, defeated Thomas Miller by second-round knockout on September 24, 2020 at the Civic Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.

With the victory over Miller, Williams Jr. became the new NBA Continental Americas Champion in the junior welterweight division.[20] He defeated Phillip Lars on December 12, 2020 at Pell City High School in Pell City, Alabama.

Williams Jr. defeated Diego Vincent Perez by a six-round decision at The Venue at Coosa Landing in Gadsden, Alabama on February 13, 2021. He tko'd Starr Johnson at the Biloxi Civic Center in Biloxi, Mississippi on March 4, 2021. He defeated Anthony Curtiss on May 22, 2021 at the The Venue at Coosa Landing in Gadsden, Alabama. The win over Curtiss improved his record to 18 wins and 0 losses. On December 16, 2020 Michael Williams Sr. and Michael Williams Jr. were on Clarence McClain's Facebook boxing groups page discussing a possible match with Devin Haney in 2021.[25] He was tko'd by John Bauza in the fourth round on December 11, 2021. The match was promoted by Top Rank and held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. He tko'd Julio Buitrago on April 23, 2022 at The Venue at Coosa Landing in Gadsen, Alabama.
