Michael J. Fahy was the FDNY Battalion chief.

He was the father of three children and resided in Yonkers, New York.

Chief Fahy served as a Firefighter beginning in 1999, was promoted to Lieutanant in 2004, to Captain in 2007 and to Battalion chief in 2012.

On September 27, 2016, Fahy died in the Line of duty, while responding to a house explosion caused by an illegal drug lab in the Bronx, New York.
