Mia Lavana
Alyssa Nicole (born March 23, 1996), known professionally as Mia Lavana and her alter ego Blasé 1942, is a worldwide published author, illustrator, model, and businesswoman from California. She is known for her runway debut in 2013, walking for the International Wedding Festival.
In 2014, Lavana appeared in the South Asian Bridal Magazine, and soon afterward, she started her writing career.
In January 2015, she wrote "Player" and "Please Be Careful," which sparked her interest to become a published author.
In 2022, she announced the worldwide release of FUMES.
Career
Runway and Modeling
Lavana started her runway career, at age 15, in 2011 for the Breast Cancer Awareness Fashion Show.
In late 2013, she was first approached with a print modeling opportunity to expand globally.
Her first magazine debut was for South Asian Bridal.
Lavana continued to build upon her portfolio, doing brand ambassador work for Blush, Push Trees, and BotttosGardens by The Pharcyde.
Writing
In 2019-2022, when the global lockdown went into full effect because of COVID-19, Lavana began writing poems, prose, and short stories on sexual and comedic themes.
Artistry Influence
As a child, Lavana spent time studying Tupac Shakur's poems.
She also studied Kanye West, Snoop Dogg, and J. Cole, all of whom are major inspirations of hers.
Trivia
Lavana graduated with magna cum laude in business from the University of California, Riverside.
In addition, she studied The Science of Well-being at Yale University.
She met her wife Brittney Jasmine on the HER App in 2017.
