Mermelada Bunch
Career
their career as a band in April 99, they were a group of panas who had formed a band and performed at a club on Calle 72 ”. from Maracaibo where the stage was small, since between Pipo, the battery and the two keyboards there was no space at all. However, they settled as best they could and the audience lent their ear for the first time. The venue jumped for an hour without stopping and the name of the band was not known. However, the reaction of the attendees hinted that his style was highly enjoyed. There was born the band called Mermelada Bunch.
Being a very new band, I had to pay the novitiate, which is nothing more than charging very little or not charging.
since you have to be heard.
Mermelada had to go through the college band process despite having musicians of the stature of Armando Hernández from the start, who had traveled the continent as part of Ricardo Montaner's band; or the experienced percussionist Alberto Vargas, the bassist and music producer Edmundo Rincón and the drummer David Schlesinger.
Despite the road traveled, there were never any pretensions, just the desire to experience and enjoy it on the road.
The group from Maracaibo (Zulia state) is made up of Leo Colina (voice), Pipo Ramírez (voice), Armando Hernández (keyboards), Agustín Espina (keyboards), Juan Paul Hernández (percussion), David Schelsinger (drums), Luis Fernández (guitar) and Edmundo Rincón (bass).
Each of the members has a great source of musical influences whose mix is reflected in the name of the group and their musical style.
Since its inception they have been characterized by being a band whose essence is reflected in their live performances and have traveled almost all over the country to offer their musical proposal.
They make their record debut with the album Pum Pum (2002), which is followed by Dale A Play (2005).
The most recent record plate is the album Te La Dedico (2013), obtaining great success with the songs Bipolar and Comando borracho.[3][4]
