Arrest

On March 10, 2017, Mekenzie was arrested and charged with rape after signing up for medicaid and listing a 14-year-old boy as the child's father. ^[4]

She admitted to having sex with the boy multiple times in her car in a remote area of the town. ^[4]Guffey's relationship with the boy began in December 2016 after they were introduced through a mutual friend at a McDonald's in Scottsboro, Alabama. ^[4]

Charges

She is charged with second-degree rape, second-degree sexual abuse, enticing a child for immoral purposes, traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act, possession of child pornography and dissemination of child pornography. ^[4]
