Megan Maloney is a San Francisco, California based technology investor focusing on health care and cryptocurrency. She is currently an Associate at the venture capital firm, General Catalyst.^[1] [4][6]

Megan Maloney grew up in a small town in New York and is a graduate of Byram Hills High School in Armonk, New York. At Byram, she was part of the High Honor Roll, Mu Alpha Theta, Spanish Honor Society, National Society of High School Scholars, National Honor Roll, ESMA HS Science Research Scholarship, J&J Chapter Graduation Senior Teen Academic Award, Exceptional Senior Award, All-league: Field Hockey, Varsity Basketball(2006-2009), Varsity Track (2005-2009), and Varsity Field Hockey. During high school, Maloney was also the Vice President of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. – Westchester Chapter, Secretary of Helping Young People Excel, Core Group Leader of Youth Against Cancer. ^[1] [4]In 2013, Maloney graduated from Columbia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Music. At Columbia, Maloney was involved in the Columbia/Barnard Chorus, Smart Woman Securities, HAPA Multicultural Club, BSO, Sister's Circle, and Chinese club. She also made the dean's list in 2010, 2012, and 2013. ^[1]

Megan Maloney began her career as an Institutional Equity Analyst at Morgan Stanley in Manhattan, New York City from 2013-2015. In this role, she enjoyed working with research analysts to present their strategies to investors because it required fast, accurate synthesis of large amounts of information for a tangible result. She then worked as a Investment Banking Analyst in Technology at Morgan Stanley in San Francisco from 2015-2017. In this role, Maloney worked on raising and allocating capital for tech-based companies at critical moments in their evolution. From this experience Maloney learned to understand the motivations of the CEO of a company and its institutional investors who both want to scale.
