Megan Klindt was a teenager from the Oakland, Iowa who died in a fire just outside of her house. [3] [2]

Born and raised in the **** Pottawattamie County most of her life, she lived in a farm off a rural gravel road about six miles east and two miles south of Oakland, which is about 25 miles east of Council Bluffs. [1]

She attended the Riverside Intermediate School, a school in Carson in The Riverside Community School District.

Death

On early Tuesday morning, December 12th, 2017, Klindt had been the first to get picked up by Donnie Hendricks, a bus driver for the Riverside Community School District.

The bus was in the driveway of Klindt's house when the fire started.

Klindt and Hendricks were trapped inside and were not able to leave the bus.

Law enforcement are investigating the fire as The Riverside Community School District has decided to cancel after school activities.
