Megan Casey was a 19-year-old student at the University Of Wisconsin. ^[3]She is originally from Powell, Ohio and has two siblings. ^[1]

Megan was a nursing student who aspired to go into neonatal nursing and was a sister in the Delta Gamma sorority. In the past, Megan participated in competitive crew, volleyball, and Irish dancing teams. She was a dedicated supporter of Badgers athletics, especially attending her brother's football games. Megan is remembered for her vibrant personality and for doing good for others. ^[2]

On December 29th, Megan and her father Brian were passengers on a flight home from a Cleveland Cavaliers game. The small plane departed from Burke Lakefront Airport and was piloted by Superior Beverage Co. CEO John T. Flemming. Other passengers on the flight include Fleming's wife, Sue, and his two sons, Jack and Andrew. ^[4]

Midway through the flight over Lake Erie the plane crashed into the water. The plane has not been found but on January 2nd, Megan and her father have been presumed dead by the authorities. ^[1]
