Meet the Flockers

Meet the Flockers

Meet the Flockers is a song by YG (rapper) from the album My Krazy Life.

The song's lyrics are about robbing Chinese people.

Released in 2014, artist YG and the song have been met with protests in 2016.

The rap has been related to security camera footage of armed robbers in a Chinese home.

The robbers were confronted by one of the homeowners, an armed woman, who shot and killed one of the armed robbers while fighting off the intruders.

YG spent time in prison for burglary.

Protestors have launched a campaign asking YouTube to remove the video.

Campaigners have also petitioned President Obama and are calling for protests at YG's shows.

Outrage has been expressed from the Chinese American community, other Asian Americans, as well as from people in China.

Some have invoked the refrain: Chinese Lives Matter.
