Demetreius Harmon (also known as MeechOnMars, born on March 1, 1998) is a social media personality. He has a strong presence on YouTube and frequently makes videos with his friend DopeIsland.
Early Life

Demetrius Harmon grew up in Detroit, Michigan. He started gaining popularity on social media by posting Vine videos from his bedroom. Starting in 2015, when he was a senior in high school, Demetrius gained Inspiration from funny and awkward moments from school life and played them out in 6-second skits.

'Be Happy': a short film by Demetrius Harmon
Demetrius started making videos on YouTube before Vine was introduced in early 2013. He accumulated over 2 million followers on Vine.
On April 11, 2016, Meechonmars won the "Vine Comedian" at the 8th Shorty Awards ceremony.
On September 18, 2016, Harmon uploaded a short film entitled Be Happy. The film illustrates a young man's journey to be reunited with happiness while battling depression. He made the film after personally suffering from depression. The project transpired after Harmon went through bad breakup and started watching movies by himself. Eventually, he thought about making one himself. He wrote the script in 4 hours.
The Golden Life Clothing
In 2016, Harmon started a clothing brand called The Golden Life Clothing.
Around the time he released his short film Be Happy, he released apparel with the ‘Be Happy’ slogan on it. He used music as a coping mechanism, particularly J. Cole's intro on his 2014 Forest Hills Drive :
[...] the night my aunt passed away I played that song over and over. He goes, ‘Do you wanna, do you wanna be…happy.’ When it came time for to name the short, I automatically knew to name it the one thing I wanted all those dealing with depression to know, that they can Be Happy.
