M'balia Marichal

M'balia Marichal

M'balia Marichal Ibar (Mexico City, Mexico, February 3, 1979) is an actress and singer. Her parents, Rosario Ibar and Pablo Marichal, are Cuban and she is the sister of Kalimba Marichal.[1]

Her first job in the middle of the show was at the age of three, doing commercials for tricycles and soft drinks; later she entered the cast of Chiquilladas, from where she came out to enter the children's play Romeo and Juliet, where she was the protagonist for six months and despite her young age toured the Cervantino Festival presenting that play. Afterwards, she returned to Chiquilladas, from where she left again to enter the world of theater, in the play La maestra Milagrosa, with Silvia Paquel. Some time later, she continued making commercials for television and dubbing. [2]

In 1989 she auditioned with Julissa to join the group, and after so many singing, dancing and acting tests, she was already part of Vaselina Show, until the project La Onda Vaselina (later called OV7) was accepted. In January 1990 they were given the green light and recorded their first album.

In 2003 the band reached its end deciding to separate and continue with solo careers.

In 2010 OV7 makes its return in a Primera Fila album.

M'balia returns but her brother Kalimba doesn't.

In 2011 she decides to leave the band for personal reasons leaving only 5 members.

In 2015 she returns once more to be part of the band, replacing Mariana and Lidia in the Ov7/Kabah Tour.
