Matthew Phelps is an aspiring Pastor from North Carolina. ^[1]

On September 1 of 2017, Matthew Phelps was arrested and charged with the murder of his 29 year old wife, Lauren Ashley-Nicole Phelps.

His wife was found dead from stab wounds in Raleigh, North Carolina. Matthew Phelps made a phone call to 911, claiming he had killed his wife. This call was made at 1AM on Friday, September 1st. Matthew Phelps believed that his ingestion of excessive amounts of Cough medicine caused him to kill his wife.

"I had a dream and then I turned on the lights and she's dead on the floor...

There's blood all over me, and there's a bloody knife on the bed.

I think I did it."

Matthew said to the 911 dispatcher.

The couple had been married for less than 1 year.

Matthew will have his first court appearance on Tuesday, September 5th of 2017.
