Matthew McCree was 15 years old and attended high school in the Bronx, New York.

On September 27, 2017, McCree was fatally stabbed by another classmate, Abel Cedeno, after bullying him in class. ^{[undefined] [1]} The incident happened just before 11:00 a.m. on the fifth floor of the school. ^{[undefined] [1]}
