Matthew Jesuele is an entrepreneur, musician, urbanist, and software engineer. He was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on December 28th, 1988. He began studying programming at the age of 9. After having created several hundred mIRC bots, he moved away from software engineering. He became fascinated with New York City and spent as much time as he possibly could there. In 2005, he took a hiatus from his studies (read: dropped out of high school and left to screw around and drink vodka in Manhattan and Brooklyn instead).
In 2007, Matthew decided it was time to head back to school. He completed his BA in philosophy and economics at Rutgers University , graduating summa cum laude in just under 3 years. He went on to study computer science at Columbia University .
In 2014, Matthew joined forces with Boye Fajinmi to work on Mooch , a communication and collaboration platform for students ("Slack for students"). In 2016 the company pivoted to developing Winston, "a bot that helps students stay on task and up to date on their courses via conversation on messaging platforms."
