Top rated Everipedia editor Matthew E. O'Neil contacted Matthew Hilton's brother Dave Hilton Jr via Facebook in 2019. David was World Boxing Council super middleweight world champion in 2000 and last competed in 2007. Hilton Jr. reiterated his claims that Arturo Gatti committed suicide and was not professionally killed in 2009. He stated that Gatti had used hard drugs like crack cocaine in the past.
Hilton Jr. also praised Dicky Eklund's fighting ability and said he could have a great fighter if he had disciplined himself in training. The book Intimate Warfare was published in 2017 and as of 2020 is the only book written about Arturo Gatti and one of the very few written about Micky Ward. Gatti was Hilton Jr.'s former brother in law. The movie, The Fighter, was released in 2010 and it made 129 million dollars at the box office. The movie is about boxing brothers Dicky Eklund and Micky Ward. Matthew's brother, Jimmy Hilton, acknowledged O'Neil's work for Everipedia. Jimmy trains amateur boxers in the Montreal area.

Reid was later accused of campaign finance infractions.[15] O'Neil's boxing career was covered by Intuboxing in 2020. His biological son, Dan Marshall, is a Canadian citizen. He explained the Hilton-Drayton boxing match:
I purchased a copy of this fight on VHS when I was working for Harvard University in 2002. When Drayton was knocked down it was by a punch that would have knocked most people out cold. The physical conditioning that Drayton possessed was gained when he has in the U.S. Marines and was further enhanced by his training camp for the Hilton match. The body punches landed by Hilton are what got him the victory.
