Matt Yoakum was born on July 17, 1980 in Pueblo, Colorado. His parents’ names are not known. There’s no information on whether he has any siblings or not. [2]
He grew up and lived in Colorado with his family. Growing up, he had always had a deep interest in music; he was a very talented singer and he loved to write songs. He started singing and performing at a young age, he joined a band named Townsend in San Francisco Bay Area. [3]

He then went on to attend Western Oregon University in 2000, and he graduated in 2004. [2]

He participated in a try-out in order to join a band called Townsend, he qualified and became a member.
The band style of music was hip-hop.
He had little experience in music, which helped the band a lot.
He was also a talented lyricist and pianist, which the band also needed.
After he joined the band, he was picked as one of the 25 finalists for the ‘Making the Band’ show, which was produced by Lou Pearlman and cast on ABC television. [3]
Before he began his online career, he worked at Hilton Hotels & Resorts in the sales department; he began working there in February 2003 while he was still in the university. He worked there for almost six years before he quitted his job. [2]

He was in a relationship with a woman named Rebecca Zamolo, she is also a YouTube star, a writer, and a producer. They dated for ten solid years. In 2013, he proposed to her and they got married a year later on May 17, 2014. [3]
Apart from his love for music, he also loves little dogs and owns two dogs named Blackjack and Peanut.
