Masjid AlSalam was originally a church and has been purchased by Muslim community in May 2015. It is located at 160 Salvation Road (at the northwest corner of Commuter Drive and Salvation Road) in Mount Pleasant Village. Mount Pleasant Village is located in the northwest area of Brampton, around the Mount Pleasant GO Station commuter train station on the inter-city rail line connecting Toronto with Georgetown, Guelph and Kitchener. The mosque is surrounded with residential houses from all sides. It has a large prayer hall for men on the ground floor and a prayer hall for women in the basement with a separate room for mothers with young children. ^[undefined]
