Masayuki Nagase is a Japanese sculptor who is currently living and working in United States. He studied painting at Tokyo Academy of Fine Arts from 1968 till 1971, and later traditional stone carving techniques. From 1979 till 1996 he lived and worked in his art studio in Marušići near Buje in Croatian region of Istria.
In 2014 he was hired to build monument called "Passage of Wind and Water" in Main Street Square in Rapid City. [2]
Masayuki Nagase's life and work in Croatia was in 1998 subject of Masayuki Nagase, documentary film directed by Katja Restović.
