Mary Kay Kleist is a renowned and award-winning American meteorologist. At present, she is a meteorologist for CBS 2 Chicago. She has won several local awards for her work including 3 Emmys in 2015 after covering the April tornados. She is known to be weather special and best on-camera weather anchor.^[1]

Mary Kay Kleist was born on 3rd October in Miami, Florida, United States. Mary Kay is an American by Nationality.

Mary Kay’s attended the University of Central Florida and graduated with a Magna Cum Laude in B.A. degree in Radio and Television in the year 1992. Then for her higher studies, she had joined Mississippi State University. There she had studied weather broadcasting and graduated with a degree granted from Broadcast Meteorology Program. ^[8]

Mary Kay started her career after her graduation.

At first, she had begun working with WJCL (TV) situated in Savannah, Georgia, as the weekend weather anchor and general assignment reporter. There she worked for two years until 1992.^[7]

In the year 1995, she moved to Tampa, Florida to work for WFLA-TV as a meteorologist, where she worked from 1995-1999. Mary Kay has filled as a weather reporter for The Tampa Tribune and as an anchor for WFLA (AM) Radio. Then, since the year 1999, she had worked for WXYZ-TV in Detroit, Miami, as a meteorologist.

Mary Kay Kleist works as a meteorologist for 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. newscasts on CBS 2 Chicago.

In 2002, Mary Kay joined the station and consequently became a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist in 2007.
