Marquez Montgomery was a 15-year-old sophomore at Benjamin Elijah Mays High School. ^[undefined] He was a member of the football team and played on the offensive and defensive line. ^[1]

"Quez" as his friends called him was popular among his classmates and had a girlfriend named Ronbria Brown.

He is from northwest Atlanta. ^[undefined] Not only that but Marquez wasn't only a student at May's High School, he was family and the people he impacted will never forget him.

On the evening of November 28, 2016, Montgomery was FaceTiming his girlfriend when he was shot in the head. ^[undefined] The incident happened at 7:15pm in his home located at 3806 Adkins Road in northwest Atlanta. ^[undefined] His cousin Dontavis Montgomery has been charged over his murder.
