Markie Martin is an American journalist and anchor working for KOCO 5 News weekday mornings, with co-anchor Maggie Carlo and meteorologist Shelby Hays.

Markie also covered northern Texas and southeastern Oklahoma for KTEN News before joining KOCO-TV.^[1][12]

Markie Martin was born on March 29 1990, Ada, Oklahoma, United States. She has a younger sister, Margo, who attends Texas Christian University.^[13]

Markie is married to Erielle Reshef, and the couple welcomed a baby in April 2015.

Markie is a graduate of the University of Richmond, she studied Journalism and Latin American & Iberian studies.

She covered many big KTEN reports, including the sexual assault prosecution against Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and a 1970 double assassination cold case that still haunts Texoma. She broke the story in the summer of 2013 that the end-of-year exams of 150 Denison students were lost on the way to the marking company— sending all the students back to the classroom that fall.

Martin also reported in Carter County on the kidnapping of a 7-year-old girl and followed the story until police officers rescued her.^[16][17]
