Mark Kilaghbian is an Armenian -America entrepreneur and podcast host. He is a cofounder of Cryptoconomy and a host of the Cryptoconomy podcast.  Mark was formerly of cofounder of Tutor Technologies inc, for which he was awarded "Entrepreneur of the Year" at the University of Texas in 2016.  After graduating, Mark spent time at the White House Internship Program (Class of Spring 2018), before leaving to pursue Cryptoconomy full time. On the podcast, Mark has expressed his desire to run for California's 28th congressional district , which is currently represented by Adam Schiff .
Mark grew up in La Cañada, CA , and attended La Cañada High School before attending the University of Texas at Austin in 2013. In high school, Mark helped write the first nanotechnology textbook for high school students with Omninano.  In 2014, Mark took a year off of school to work on "Tutor." before studying abroad at Copenhagen Business School . Mark graduated with a BBA in Management Consulting from the McCombs School of Business in 2018. While studying, Mark was a member of the UT Paintball Team and College Republican s.
Mark started his first venture, HookupHorns.com, his freshman year, before partnering with his future cofounder William Harrison on a Lulu (app) competitor called Guru  . The pair pivoted to Tutor.  in 2014, eventually receiving $150,000 in funding from Davenforth Ventures.  When the company completed the Austin Technology Incubator’s SEAL (Student Entrepreneur Acceleration and Launch) program and Mark pitched Tutor at demo day.  In 2017, Tutor cofounders Mark Kilaghbian and Enrique Sotomayor founded 49er Miners and Cryptoconomy with Will Tran, Esaias Tong, and Pablo Arias. In January, 2018 Cryptoconomy (under 49er Miners) was admitted to the Longhorn Startup Accelerator program.  In March, William Harrison joined Mark as cohost of the Cryptoconomy podcast, and Editor and Chief of Atlas Digest & Cryptoconomy.news.  On episode 17 of the Cryptoconomy podcast, Mark and Will interviewed Everipedia cofounder Mahbod Moghadam . 
While working at Cryptoconomy , Mark has worked to help launch Cryptoconomy.news  , Cryptoconomy.world  , 49er Miners  , Atlas  , Atlas Digest  , CryptoStickers  . Cryptoconomy cofounders have also launched PumaEx  , CryptoSignal  , AutoMatter  , and CryptoExchange.us.
