Marissa Armas is a bicultural digital journalist based in New York, New York. She is currently an associate producer at NBC News, where she covers the Latino Community extensively. ^[1]

Armas received a master’s degree from Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and a bachelor’s degree from Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her interests include public policy, politics, education, social justice, travel, and multimedia. ^[1]

She worked at Examiner.com from January 2013 - June 2014, where she started out as a social media intern, and later became an editorial specialist and social media manager.

Armas then joined MSNBC as a multimedia intern from June 2015 - September 2015.
