Marisela Maritza Berti Díaz (Maracaibo, September 9, 1950) better known as Marisela Berti [1] is a Venezuelan model and television actress.

Career

In 1971 she competed in the Miss Venezuela contest representing the state of Nueva Esparta and was a fourth finalist. She started in the soap opera genre in the successful soap opera Sacrificio de mujer on RCTV, which paved the way for her to participate in numerous Venezuelan dramas. She has been retired from television for more than 20 years and among her last works, her participation in the RCTV telenovela Dulce ilusión, where she played the evil Zarina, was outstanding. She debuted in the acting world in the program Él y ella and later in dramatic and unitary productions, becoming a key figure in such productions: La indomable, Valentina, La italianita, Doña Bárbara, Resurrección, Canaima, La señora de Cárdenas, Mi amada Beatriz, Señora, Por estas calles, Carmen querida and Dulce ilusión among others. In cinema he also taught in films such as Cuchillos de fuego. The career of this extraordinary actress is still remembered in spite of her voluntary retirement from the artistic environment. Marisela Berti is without a doubt an obligatory reference for our TV and one of the actresses who best manages the villainy, in spite of the fact that she also stood out in characteristic roles.

Origin and personal life

Born in Zuliana and raised in Caracas, she lived in Puerto Rico for several years after marrying Puerto Rican singer Chucho Avellanet, with whom she had a son. Marisela married the renowned filmmaker Mauricio Wallerstein. She lives in Mexico.
