Mariah Contreras was a student from Willcox, Arizona.

She was set to attend Willcox High School in the fall.

^[4]Contreras was very active in sports and enjoyed boxing at the gym.

On July 23, 2016 died around midnight after being struck by a train near Railroad Park in Willcox, Arizona.

^[3]Contreras was part of a group of friends "playing chicken" with the trains.

^[3]

The group were taking turns trying to get as close to an oncoming train as possible and getting out of the way before it hits them.

Contreras wasn't able to get out of the way in time and was hit by an outer part of the train.

Her family and friends have set up Go Fund Me pages to help with funeral costs.
