Margaret Swearengen was a resident of Memphis, Tennessee. She was married to Tom Swearengen.

She had lived with her husband in Memphis, Tennesse since 2010.

On February 19, 2017, Margaret and her husband were found deceased from an apparent murder-suicide at their home in Memphis, Tennessee. Investigators believe Tom shot and killed his wife, then turned the gun on himself. Police were called to the home on Thrushcross Cove just before 4 a.m. A neighbor who found the bodies told authorities they could have been there for days.

The neighbor also told authorities that the couple had marital problems.
