Marco DeMeireles
Marco DeMeireles is an American venture capitalist and investor.
He is currently a Partner at TCG, an affiliate of The Chernin Group, and a member of the Investment Committee.[1]
Education
He attended Williams College where he graduated with a degree in Economics.
Career
DeMeireles began his career at Morgan Stanley based in Menlo Park, and began his investing career at Technology Crossover Ventures.
He subsequently joined Balyasny Asset Management where he founded and led their venture capital and growth investing businesses.
He was responsible for driving the strategy's investment theses surrounding software-driven systems, marketplaces, financial technology, healthcare and consumer subscription businesses, which led to 10 core investments.
Most notably, he was responsible for sourcing and leading the Firm's 2017 investments into Peloton and Coinbase.
Recently, DeMeireles has led investments in livestreaming marketplaces (ShopShops), consumer health (Dadi) and end-of-life services (Better Place Forests) where he serves on the Board representing TCG.
