In December 2017, Richmond publicly accused Dan Johnson of sexually assaulting her in the basement of his house in the early morning of January 1, 2013. ^[1]

Maranda Elizabeth Richmond stated that she attended a party at Johnson’s home on New Year’s Eve 2012. That night, Richmond stated she was asleep on a couch in the basement when she woke up to find Johnson standing over her. ^[1]

She stated he grope her, stuck his tongue in her mouth and slid his hands down her pants and into her vagina. ^[1] The Louisville Metro Police Department opened an inquiry, but detectives later closed the case, citing a lack of interest or assistance from the teen. ^[1]
