Background
Raju is a native of the Chicago area is the grandchild of Gopalakrishna Adiga, a legendary poet from South India who wrote in the language of Kannada.
He is a Chicago sports fan.
Education
He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin and worked for *The Badger Herald * where he first gained experience and got his start in media.
Career
For years Raju has been involved all over Washington, DC becoming a veteran in covering an array of political topics.
After graduating, he began working for NBC affiliate in Madison, Wisconsin.
When Raju arrived in Washington, DC he reported for The Hill, Congressional Quarterly, and Inside Washington Publishers.
In 2015, he was awarded first prize by the Society of Professional Journalists in DC for his coverage of the midterm elections.
He won Eddie Award for a feature profile on Elizabeth Warren.
He received an award for reporting by the South Asian Journalists Association.
