On October 31, 2017, just before 3:20 p.m. local time, Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov drove a Home depot truck onto a busy bicycle path near the World Trade Center memorial and struck several people, killing at least six. ^{[8] [5]}

Saipov was heard shouting Allah Akbar as he jumped out of the truck carrying a pellet gun. ^{[0] [8] [6]}

Sayfullo Saipov drove a rented flatbed pickup truck from New Jersey painted as a Home Depot truck and swerved into the segregated bike lane of West Street in Lower Manhattan.

He entered the bike lane from Houston Street, and ran over multiple pedestrians in the Hudson River Park bikeway, mainly bike riders, causing at least eight fatalities and fifteen injuries.

Saipov came to a stop at Chambers Street after colliding with a school bus.

He reportedly left the truck with fake guns.

He shouted "Allahu Akbar" as he stepped out of the vehicle.

He was shot by NYPD officers and taken into custody and medical care.

The terror attack left 8 people dead and about a dozen people injured.

Among the dead were several international citizens that include 1 person from Belgium and 5 people from Argentinians. The Argentinians who died were: Hernán Diego Mendoza, Diego Enrique Angelini, Alejandro Damián Pagnucco, Ariel Erlij and Hernán Ferruchi.

The pals who died had rented bicycles and reportedly were walking along the downtown Manhattan bike path near Stuyvesant High School when the terror attack unfolded.
