Mandy Ginsberg is American tech entrepreneur considered to be a pioneer in consumer internet and the online dating space. She is the CEO of Match Group, the parent company of Tinder, Match.com, and OKcupid.
Biography
Born and raised in Dallas to a Jewish family, she grew up surrounded by family members who were all their own boss, and hardly worked for anyone else outside of their businesses.
Early in life she was getting instructions from her grandfather who owned several small businesses including: an organic pesticide business, a chain of movie theaters in throughout the Southern United States, and also had an air-conditioning business.
He would also buy startups.
Her father owned a chain of Teenage driving schools.
Education
In college she was fascinated by the Spanish language and its literature.
She received her B.A. degree in English and Spanish Literature from U.C.
Berkeley.
She also traveled to Spain where she attended Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
She graduated in 1992.
Years later, at the turn of the decade, she received her MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.[7]
Career
Right after college, she moved back to her hometown of Dallas after working for a few startups which gave her immense experience in marketing and consumer internet businesses.
In 2006, she joined the Chemistry.com which would later become Match.com after getting a call from a startup that was looking for someone with experience in internet consumerism and online PR.
She is now the CEO.
