Madison Coe was an American 14 year-old teenager who lived in Texas.

Madison Coe was born and raised in the State of Texas, and grew up in the small town of Lubbock with her family. She is outlived by her parents. She has a father who lives in New Mexico. Her grandmother considered her as her "shining star".

She attended Terra Vista middle School and was planning on going to high school in Houston, Texas. She was a basketball player and first chair with her tuba in the band at school.

On July 9th, 2017, while staying for a visit to her father's house in Lovington, New Mexico, Madison took a bath and as she attempted to grab her phone which was plugged to the wall, she was electrocuted to death.

She was found dead with a burn mark on her hand.

Investigators believe that she must've attempted to grab her phone which was charging on the wall.

The district officials of the middle school she had just graduated from, said the following statement: "It is with heavy hearts that Frienship ISD mourns the loss of Madison Coe.

We wish to share our heartfelt sympathy with her family and friends as we carry the burden of this tragedy together".

A GoFundMe has been set up in her name to cover medical expenses.

On July 17th, 2017, her parents revealed the last text message that Madison sent before her Electrocution. The message said "When you use and extension chord so you can plug your phone in while in the bath".
