Maddy O'Reilly, stage name of Emily Nicholson, was born on May 3, 1990 in Mount Airy, a small town in the state of North Carolina, in a family with Irish and German ancestry. Before entering the adult film industry, she worked as a saleswoman at a CarMax dealership. She made her debut as a porn actress in August 2011 at the age of 21 in the film My Little Panties 3.^[2]

In 2013 she played Dorothy Gale in the porn parody of The Wizard of Oz titled Not the Wizard of Oz XXX,^[3] for which she was nominated at the AVN Awards for Best Actress and won the award for Best Masturbation Scene.
