Macron Leaks of 2017
Macron Leaks of 2017
'The Macron Leaks' were a large scale breach of French Presidential candidate Emmanuel Macron's email account. Emails, accounting documents, and contracts were all included in the leaks. Nine gigabytes of data were posted to Pastebin in torrent from a user with the moniker EMLEAKS. [2]The emails were originally posted in a number of file formats to Archive.org, then links to those files collected on a Pastebin page by the suspected EMLEAKS user.
The leaks appeared to emerge into the mainstream first on 4chan, a discussion forum popular with far right activists in the United States. An anonymous poster provided links to the documents on the curated Pastebin page, saying, "This was passed on to me today so now I am giving it to you, the people." [9]
Contents
A large amount of the emails are to or cc’ed to "Cédric O," who is treasurer for Macron’s party En Marche, as well as consultant Pierre Person.
This appears to insinuate that their accounts were specifically targeted.
Macron's campaign made a statement that large parts of the leak were genuine, but that there were fabricated documents interspersed with real ones.
People across the internet are currently going through the documents to see if there is any substantial information in there.
It has been revealed that Macron is on the mailing list for a homosexual catalog called VestiareGay. [10]This revelation adds to rumors that Macron is gay and is having an affair with Mathieu Gallet. A prominent politician that supports Macron, Alan Tourret, has evidence of him buying 3-MMC online through the Dark web, a substance that is legal in France. [8]

In the past, Macron's campaign appeared to be a target of the Russian-government-linked hacker group Fancy Bear, also known as Pawn Storm or APT 28.
