Life and Athletic Career
Mack was born as a female but has been transitioning to become a male since 2015. Due to University Interscholastic League rules, Mack is forbidden to compete on the boys' team because they requiring student-athletes to compete as the gender listed on their birth certificate and prohibit boys from wrestling girls. [2]Mack has stated that he would rather wrestle boys than girls but said he would comply with UIL rules. [5]
Outside of UIL wrestling Mack still has the right to sign up for and compete against the boys.
In Nov 2016, Mack decided against wrestling in a boys division at Cliff Keen Preseason Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa, must have felt wrestling in the 81 man bracket would be a huge disadvantage so Mack decided to sign up has his birth name, Mackenzie and face only 4 girls in that division.
In 2015 Mack wrestled at Fargo Nationals going 0-3 and only scoring 1 point throughout all those matches.
3 months later Mack starts self injecting Testosterone.

In February of 2017, Mack won the girls 110-pound championship at Saturday's Class 6A Region II; two of his scheduled opponents forfeited their matches against him.
Parents who have daughters competing on opposing schools filed a lawsuit against Mack saying that his testosterone therapy gives him an advantage similar to steroid use and that he should not be allowed to compete.
