Lynn Martinez (born 07/09/1974) is an Emmy Award winning Journalist. She is a reporter and anchor for the WSVN 7 news team, she anchors 7 NEWS at 4, 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30PM and also co-hosts the popular entertainment show “Deco Drive” at 7:30PM.[1]
Career
Lynn Martinez started her broadcasting career in 1989 at the CBS affiliate in Cadillac, Michigan, where she served as an anchor and producer. In 1991, Martinez joined WSVN, where she served as a general morning reporter and also as co-anchor of WSVN number 1 rated morning news program "TODAY IN FLORIDA". As a result of her skills and efficiency she was quickly promoted to weekend anchor.[4]
In 1998, she became a co-host for "Deco Drive", which is the half-hour news magazine show known for celebrity news and the latest on the South Florida entertainment circuit.[3] For Deco Drive, Lynn has interviewed numerous celebrities, among them Tom Hanks, Gloria and Emilio Estefan, Julio Iglesias, Cameron Diaz, Andy García, and Keanu Reeves. She co-hosts the popular entertainment show at 7:30 PM.
Besides journalism, she is also involved in therapy and launched her own life-coaching company ‘Advice For Life With Lynn”.
She also releases weekly podcasts for the company.
She provides empowerment to women teaching the keys to a better relationship with themselves and their surroundings.
Personal
Martinez was born and raised in New York City, United States. She is currently 45 years old as she was born on the 7th of September, 1974. She celebrates her birthday on September 7th, every year and will be 46 years old on September 7th 2020.
Relationship
Martinez is happily married with two children.On
the 1st of January, 2020, Martinez got married to her new husband, firefighter Mike Cochran at sunrise on a mountain in Northern Arizona[2] together they parent two children namely, Elle and Nick Martinez.
Nick Martinez who is the first child was born in 1999.
His sister, Elle, was born a year later after him, together, they attended The Boys and Girls Club of Miami Wild About Kids 2012 Gala at The Four Seasons, Miami, Florida on October 20, 2012.
The family resides in Florida.
