Luis Treto is an American journalist based in Los Angeles, California.

Treto attended Pasadena City College where he received an Associate of Arts in broadcast journalism.

He later transferred to California State University Los Angeles, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.

Prior to joining Telemundo in March 2014, he was a correspondent for CNN en Español.

His reports earned him an Emmy nomination for best serious news story in 2006 and best producer in 2010 for a thirty minute special about Arizona's immigration law.
